This is so much better than the old plastic carrier we had. It's very smart looking, which admittedly doesn't actually matter, but it's nice anyway.
The cushion included is soft to touch, but quite thin. It's adequate, but I'll put in a thicker one for comfort when we need to transport our cat.
The bag is set up very easily. You just fold down the metal frame and clip it in place. It's surprisingly sturdy once they're in situ.
It's good having access at the top as well as at the front, always handy for when the car is reluctant to come out when you're at the vets, and I like that she'll have the ability to see out properly due to the netting 'windows'.
I'm not sure why you'd use a shoulder strap with this, but maybe there's a reason I can't think of. The normal cat handles are fine for us though, and they're sturdy and well stitched.
The whole thing just looks and feels like quality, I'm really pleased with it.
